Oxford pens new deal with Onoto

Company will create collection of University of Oxford luxury writing instruments.

Busy Oxford Limited has partnered with The Onoto Pen Company to create a collection of University of Oxford luxury writing instruments.

The deal – which was secured by Oxford’s agent for the UK and Europe, Global Icons – will see the line launch in specialist retail channels, premium stationery and department stores worldwide.

The Oxford collection will initially feature four pens including the Magna Classic Oxford Blue, Magna Classic Oxford Pinstripe, the slimmer Excel Oxford Blue and University of Oxford limited edition Sterling Silver Pens, based on the most popular Onoto designs.

The retail price of the pens will start from approximately £400 for the basic versions and up to £3,000 for the sterling silver version with vitreous enamel designs.

Bespoke orders and private commissioning will also be available on request.

“The Onoto pen mirrors the Oxford brand values of heritage and excellence,‘ commented Chris Evans, md at Oxford Limited. “Made in the UK, the quality and finish of the product is exceptional and the University of Oxford collection by The Onoto Pen Company will be a welcome addition to our core brand offer.”

James Boddy, chairman of The Onoto Pen Company, added: “The Onoto Pen Company is delighted to be making fine writing instruments for University of Oxford.”
