The Orla Kiely brand has welcomed a former director of brand partnerships and licensing at Liberty, Jalil Rahman, to the role of chief commercial officer.
Jalil (pictured) has been tasked with driving strategic ‘next phase’ growth globally at the brand, reported The Industry.Fashion. He will focus on expanding the brand’s customer base, while also maintaining a balance of ‘art and commerce’.
He joins Orla Kiely from Richemont Group, where he was director of business development and was responsible for spearheading the launch of a new start-up luxury brand.
“Bringing Jalil – with his years of experience working with heritage design and luxury brands – onto the team marks a new chapter for the business, as we continue to invest in our people and grow the business,” commented Dermott Rowan, md and co-owner of Orla Kiely. “We look forward to increasing our global reach as the brand continues to go from strength to strength.”
