New collection of repeat pattern designs and decorative motifs launches for categories.
A new collection of repeat pattern designs and decorative motifs inspired by the University of Oxford for gifting and home categories has launched.
Mood boards previewed at Brand Licensing Europe last year have been further developed to include colour swatches and palettes with packaging options soon to be added.
The resulting lookbook is presented in an editorial format using lifestyle product photography and pattern provenance to create the proposition based on Oxford’s heritage.
Presented in two chapters, the ’foliage, flower and feather’ themed patterns of the first section are based on illustrations from the University’s Bodleian Libraries and Botanic Garden.
Meanwhile, a more monochrome colour palette introduces section two, ‘structures and cycles’, a series of designs based on mathematical formula, theory and geometric shapes, as well as architectural detail and a bicycle.
“The home and gift category is a core area of interest for Oxford and the launch of the pattern collection will support business development for all of our agents around the world,” said Chris Evans, md of Oxford Limited. “The patterns will also provide current licensees with the opportunity to co-ordinate new ranges and create an even stronger retail offer.”
