Nintendo Switch is the most sought after second-hand toy

New research from For-sale.co.uk has revealed the most sought after second-hand toys and toy brands.

For-sale.co.uk used Google search data to discover that number one on the list of most in demand second-hand toys was the Nintendo Switch, with 49,500 monthly searches. The console frequently reached sold out status during the height of the pandemic.

This was followed by used Xbox One – which was launched more than eight years ago – at number two with 33,100 average monthly searches, while used bikes came in at number three with 27,100 average monthly searches.

PlayStation 4 (12,100) and used PS4 controllers (8,100) made up the remainder of the top five.

Meanwhile, Roblox was found to be the most in demand toy brand with 124 million monthly searches for the platform around the world. Notably, the online gaming platform had more than 13.5x more searches a month than the next ranking toy brand in the list, which was LEGO with more than nine million average searches per month.

Nintendo was at number three (4,090,000 average monthly searches) sharing the position with PAW Patrol (4,090,000).

Other brands in the listing included Barbie (3,350,000), Funko Pop (2,740,000), Squishmallows (2,740,000), Transformers (2,740,000) and My Little Pony (1,830,000) among others.
