Former DreamWorks exec becomes vp sales and licensing, Europe for fast growing agency.
Popular industry executive Nick Cooke has taken on a new role with the fast growing global licensing agent, Centa IP.
Nick (pictured) is vp sales and licensing, located in London and responsible for Europe.
Nick will be working to build up Centa IP’s portfolio of brands which includes the hotly tipped Netflix Original series Beat Bugs – inspired by the music of The Beatles with a CP launch planned in Tesco later this year – plus MotownMagic, inspired by the music of Motown.
In addition, Centa IP recently acquired The Fusion Agency, meaning that preschool property Kazoops and Monster Teddies are now included in its portfolio.
The company is also the US, Australian and UK licensing agency for Zafari, the quirky property from INK Group.
Alongside Nick – who was most recently director of hardlines UK and EMEA at DreamWorks Animation and has also held roles at Tesco and Toys R Us – Centa IP has bolstered its team with a number of other new hires.
Founder of The Fusion Agency, Gail Mitchell is on board as vp Asia Pacific (located in Sydney) and Rebekah Belzer is vp sales and licensing (located in LA) and responsible for the US.
Geoff Rosenhain, ceo of Centa IP, commented: “Centa IP’s primary focus is to build sustainable value for our partners. It’s just that simple. To be doing it with such an incredible group of people makes this goal both a reality and whole lot of fun.”
