DHX Brands has appointed six US licensees for the Teletubbies as it ramps up the consumer products programme in the territory. Spin Master (US master toy), Accessory Innovations (bags, backpacks, hats), SG Company (footwear), Franco Manufacturing (juvenile bedding) and Betesh (toddler bedding) have all come on board. In addition, VTech has expanded its current ELA deal into the US.
Flair has extended its Shopkins product offering, signing a new agreement with Bulldog Licensing. The company is now developing a wide range of new products to complement the existing toy ranges. It will cover the popular Cool Cardz and Shaker Maker lines, while new plush will hit shelves across the UK by early spring, rolling out across Europe thereafter.
Jetpack Distribution has inked a deal with Outfit7 for global broadcast rights to the animated series based on Talking Tom and Friends. Jetpack has exclusive global TV rights (excluding Asia) to the distribute the 52 x 11-minute CGI series.
Devon-based retailer Darlington Trading has won the Rainbow Designs’ Miffy display competition. The company offered indie retailers the opportunity to create a Miffy-themed window or in-store display and have the chance to win £500 worth of Rainbow Miffy product and books, as well as a Miffy birthday party, complete with a visit from the costume character.
Andover Fabrics has launched its new Little House on the Prairie line of fabrics for quilting and sewing. The lines were introduced at the International Quilt Market in Houston, with Alison Arngrim and Charlotte Stewart – actresses from the original TV series – appearing as guest stars.
Daniel Tiger’s Neighbourhood Live is set to premiere on January 15, 2016 in Philadelphia, before going on a tour of more than 50 cities across the US.
