Including a raft of new UK partners coming on board for eOne’s PJ Masks.
eOne has revealed new broadcast and licensing partners for PJ Masks in the UK. The series is due to launch on free to air channel, Tiny Pop, from February 25, while it continues to rank highly on Disney Junior. Meanwhile, VTech and LeapFrog will develop a range of electronic toys; Ravensburger will produce puzzles; Roy Lowe will launch socks from October; William Lamb will introduce a bags and footwear; Dreamtex is on board for children’s bedding; Zak has signed for luncher products; and Gemma will produce PJ Masks party and greetings. The master toy line – distributed in the UK by Flair’s Just Play division – will roll out on February 4.
Rocket Licensing is celebrating its tenth anniversary, developing a bespoke agency logo to be used throughout the year. The company – headed up by Charlie Donaldson and Rob Wijeratna – will also host a special celebration at BLE in October to thank partners for their continued support and business over the past ten years.
Hachette Children’s Group has acquired the rights to The Powerpuff Girls from Cartoon Network. The Orchard Books imprint will publish a variety of titles including series fiction, guidebooks and sticker activity. Publishing will begin in May with paperback series fiction title Brain Freeze, with two further fiction titles in July and September.
Cartamundi will be launching a new addition to its Shuffle range – Shuffle Monopoly Deal Cities. The original Monopoly Deal – based on the iconic Hasbro game – has proved to be one of the most popular games in the Shuffle line. In addition, PAW Patrol is also joining the Shuffle line-up.
TOMY will be unveiling its new master toy range for the Molang property at UK Toy Fair next week. The collection will include basic and feature plush, as well as premium super soft plush made from elastic Softboa. Licensing Link handles the licensing programme for Molang in the UK.
Pyramid International has secured a deal with Warner Bros. Consumer Products – on behalf of DC Entertainment – for the UK’s first stationery range for DC Super Hero Girls.
Jazwares is expanding its toy line based on Minecraft, introducing six highly detailed fully articulated three-inch figures and three new multi figure accessory packs. The range is distributed in the UK by Character Options.
Edutainment Licensing has been appointed to represent the Flossy and Jim brand worldwide. The first partner on board is personalised marshmallow company, Boomf.
LIMA will induct a trio of execs into the Licensing Hall of Fame this year. Allan Feldman, ceo and founder of LMCA; Dell Furano, ceo and founder of Epic Rights; and Cyril Speijer, former ceo of Wavery Productions and current co-principal of BN Licensing will all be inducted at the ceremony on Tuesday May 23, during the LIMA Licensing Awards at Licensing Expo.
Authentic Brands Group has confirmed Italian-based agency Movantia as its non-exclusive lead agency for its brand portfolio in Europe. Movantia will also extend its branding and licensing experience to the Middle East and India.
