Haven Licensing is to represent The Next Step in Australia and New Zealand following a deal with Boat Rocker Brands and Brands with Influence. The TV series has already enjoyed success in the territory on ABC and the Disney Channel, while The Next Step Wild Rhythm Tour is set to arrive in Australia this month.

Cartoon Network is teaming up with the intu Trafford Centre in Manchester for a special Ben 10 weekend event on October 1-2. The interactive Ben 10 experience will allow fans to transform into four different aliens featured in the new show. They will also be given a sneak peek of the series, which is due to premiere on Saturday October 8.

Brand consultancy Golden Goose has welcomed Martin Oestreicher as its new account director. Martin has most recently worked at the British Library, where he also set up and ran the brand licensing programme for four years.

LA-based Joyrich has selected Popeye for its newest apparel collection, securing a deal with King Features. The 90s-themed line is labelled ‘Generation X’ and includes unisex jackets, sweaters, hoodies, sweatshirts, rugby shirts, t-shirts and accessories.

Staying with Popeye, and Kiehl’s Australia has launched a new grooming kit collection featuring the character. Popeye is promoting three of the company’s men’s ranges – Oil Eliminator, Facial Fuel and Age Defender – under the brand message of ‘Smooth Sailing’.

The Roald Dahl Estate has teamed up with YouTube Kids to create an exclusive app playlist celebrating the 100th birthday of the author. Created by his grandson, Ned Donovan, the playlist is one of many guest curated playlists that aim to inspire a love of learning in kids as part of the #TodayILearned campaign for September.

Mattel has unveiled a range of new nabi tablets for its Barbie, Hot Wheels and American Girl brands.
