Including Vosene Kids teaming with DreamWorks Trolls for new promotion.
Children’s haircare brand, Vosene Kids, has secured a promotional partnership with DreamWorks’ Trolls. Limited edition packs will begin to roll out this month featuring the characters. An on-pack promotion will give away 40,000 mini Trolls dolls (provided by Hasbro), designed to drive shopper and consumer engagement as well as retailer sales. Each limited edition product across the brand’s Squeaky Clean and Fruity Goodness ranges will contain a scratch mechanism on the back. Consumers can reveal a unique code to enter on the brand’s website to find out if they have won. In addition, Vosene Kids is also planning to launch an educational strand to the campaign with an interactive game.
Scooby-Doo and the Mystery Inc. gang will be returning to the stage this summer, with Warner Bros. Consumer Products confirming a new family musical, Scooby-Doo Live Musical Mysteries. The show opens at the London Palladium on August 18 and runs until August 21, marking Scooby’s debut in the West End. It follows sell out tours in the US and Australia.
Staying with Warner Bros. Consumer Products, and the company has teamed with apparel and accessories brand Neff for a new Suicide Squad inspired collection, on behalf of DC Entertainment. The line includes a limited run of graphic t-shirts, focusing on The Joker, Harley Quinn and iconic images from the film.
Sesame Street has teamed with Running Press for a range of new publishing formats. The partnership will launch this autumn with A Very Elmo Christmas, a slip-cased edition of two popular Elmo stories including holiday stickers and a Christmas countdown poster. This will be followed up with The Goodnight Elmo Kit in February 2017 and Sesame Street I Can Do It: A Treasury of Stories in April. A new picture book will also launch in autumn 2017.
Bigjigs Toys and its sub-brand Bigjigs Rail is collaborating with Eurostar to produce an officially licensed Eurostar e320 Bigjigs Rail wooden train replica.
Action sports entertainment brand Nitro Circus has appointed Branding Streams as its licensing agent in Canada. The agency will now look to develop a full range of consumer products for the market.
Bradford License India has secured the first licensing deal for Jaune & Vert in the territory. The brand has partnered with online merchandising portal, Gingercrush.
Ecommerce platform Spreadshirt has appointed Hugo Smoter to the newly created position of chief commercial officer. Hugo – who was previously head of global marketing – now takes on overall responsibility for the European and US commercial sector, as the company sets its sights on further growth.
Boutique licensing agency The Brand Liaison has made two new hires. Laurie Smith – who has 14 years experience spearheading licensing and marketing for Playboy Enterprises, as well as positions with Nickelodeon and MLB – will lead special projects for the company. Meanwhile, Katey Gabrielson joins the company’s senior management team and will lead new business initiatives.
