Sony and Rovio have teamed up with more than 100 global partners to support The Angry Birds Movie. Indeed, it will be one of Sony’s largest promotional campaigns ever. Promotional partnerships have been secured with McDonald’s, Ziploc, Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt, Imagine Advertising and the Happy Egg Company. Meanwhile, international partners are led by Citroën, Jack Links, Panasonic Batteries and Torches and the Novotel hotel brand.

Shepperton Design Studios’ licensee Thumbs Up will be unveiling its Andrew Ainsworth Stormtrooper products at the upcoming Pulse trade show. The deal was brokered by Premium, the Italian agent for King Features.
Rocket Licensing has confirmed the third successful year for The Giant Wiggle, the annual event which is held in aid of Action for Children. Taking place in March, the event brings children in schools, nurseries and children’s centres together to wiggle in sponsored giant caterpillar-style conga lines.

Warner Bros. Entertainment has partnered with Miral for the launch of a new themed destination in Abu Dhabi. Due to open in 2018, the attraction will bring together characters and stories from the likes of Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Bugs Bunny, Scooby-Doo and Tom & Jerry, while guests will be able to step inside Gotham City and Metropolis.
