Elmer the Patchwork Elephant is to become a Kidscape ‘Friendship Friday’ ambassador. Andersen Press is entering an ongoing partnership with the anti-bullying charity during Elmer’s 30th anniversary year. Elmer will become the ambassador for the charity’s Friendship Friday activities starting from November 2019, featuring in the online and printed resources for teachers and classrooms. In addition, Kidscape will also contribute to Andersen Press’ Elmer Day pack for schools, with resources and lesson plans for schools to promote friendship around the annual Elmer celebrations.

Universal Brand Development has named Marisa Marti as vp international softlines, consumer products. In the newly created role, Marisa will oversee the international product and go-to market strategy and identify new retail partnership opportunities in the fashion and home categories. Marisa was most recently vp and general manager, Spain and Portugal at Disney Consumer Products & Retail.

Just Play has launched the new toy collection for DreamWorks’ Spirit Riding Free. The range – which is distributed in the UK by Flair – includes dolls, horse figures and play-sets.

Busy Factory Rights has signed up three new licensees for the Off The Leash brand and two for On The Prowl. Brown Trout Publishers, Half Moon Bay and Woodmansterne have all signed up for Off The Leash, while the latter two licensees are also on board for On The Prowl.

The Tetris brand has revealed an expansion of its worldwide licensing network ahead of its 35th anniversary year. CPLG will serve as the agent for a number of territories including Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Greece and United Arab Emirates among others, while Haven Global is on board for Australia and New Zealand. The brand has also renewed its agreement with Lisle Licensing.

Global licensed sports merchandiser Fanatics has strengthened its leadership team as it continues to expand its operations worldwide. Ignacio Beristain Borra has joined to head up retail, buying and merchandising functions of the international business and to lead across Southern Europe; Bill Tung joins as md for Fanatics Branded International; Ian Nelson takes on the role of product marketing director; and Zohar Ravid becomes director of strategy and M&A.

Silver Screen Bottling Company has launched a new Fear The Walking Dead beer. The Original Augie’s Ale has been brewed in partnership with Wicked Weed Brewing.

Las Vegas-based board and card game publisher, Jasco Games has come up with a plan to revive a thematic board game for Evil Dead 2 fans. The company will be looking to raise funds through a Kickstarter campaign.
