Including Titan Comics teaming with Square Enix for a new Life is Strange comic book series.

Titan Comics has teamed up with Square Enix for an all-new comic book series set in the world of the hit video game franchise, Life is Strange. A four-part mini-series will launch later this year.

The new Teletubbies series has been picked up by South Korea’s leading public broadcaster, KBS. This is the first South Korean broadcaster signed for the new series. In addition, SMG Holdings/Joon International has been appointed as the licensing agent for the property in South Korea. It is expected to begin the consumer product roll out later this year.

Universal Brand Development and Film Concerts Live have revealed the world premiere of Jurassic World in Concert, featuring the National Symphony Orchestra. The NSO will perform the complete Jurassic World score live, while the 2015 movie is projected in HD onto a large screen. The opening night will take place on May 30 at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC.

CrossFit and Strauss Brands have inked a first of its kind partnership to offer CrossFit-approved premium quality meat through a multi-year deal brokered by IMG. A CrossFit-approved box featuring a curation of Strauss’ free range chicken, grass-fed burgers, beef sticks and various cuts of steak is available on Strauss’ online store, Free Raised Direct. It will also be stocking CrossFit-approved meat in selected US grocers later this year.

The Smiley Company exhibited a special piece of artwork at the Kazachok Licensing Forum this week. Rubikubism is an artistic movement that has gained popularity over the last decade and follows in the line of pixel art forms, using geometric shapes to create optical effects. The largest Rubik’s mosaic in the world was created by Cube Works Studio and used 85,794 Rubik’s Cubes to recreate the skyline of Macau, China.

License Connection has partnered with ProSiebenSat.1 Licensing to represent Pat the Dog in Benelux.

Federation Kids & Family and Cottonwood Media has welcomed a raft of new broadcast and licensing partners across Europe for preschool animation, The Ollie & Moon Show. Planeta Junior will represent the licensing rights in France, joining UYoung (China) and Spotlight Licensing (US). New broadcast partners have also come on board in Italy, Portugal, Estonia and Latvia.

Sony Creative Products is to follow up its strong showing at Licensing Japan with an appearance at Licensing Expo Japan later this month. Two properties in particular will be highlighted – French animated brand Gaspard et Lisa and Japanese calligraphy artist Juichi Yoshikawa.

Nurdys has inked a deal for reward posters, stickers and cards with publisher De Stulp, which specialises in motivation and reward products for use in primary education, childcare and other educational institutions.

Turner Asia Pacific has appointed Vikram Sharma as vp of Cartoon Network Enterprises in the region.
