Hot Wheels has revealed a partnership with World Champion Nico Rosberg, who will become a new global brand ambassador for 2018/2019. A series of events at last week’s Nuremberg Toy Fair kickstarted the partnership, which also marks Hot Wheels’ 50th anniversary.

A high profile roster of British actors are due to feature in Sixteen South‘s new animated children’s series Claude – which launches on Disney Junior in the UK this summer. Simon Callow CBE, Anne Reid MBE, Shane Richie, Jane Horrocks and Su Pollard are among those confirmed for the new production, which is based on a series of books by Alex T Smith.

Factory Rights has revealed that the latest episode of Rupert Fawcett’s topical animation series Off The Leash has amassed over 12 million views on Facebook, as well as almost 200,000 views on YouTube in its first two weeks online.

Nickelodeon’s Slimefest is to return to Blackpool this October. The event – which takes place at the Blackpool Pleasure Beach from October 20-22 – attracted 12,000 people last year with 9,000 litres of slime being used across the weekend.

Rainbow has announced that series three of live action hit Maggie & Bianca Fashion Friends will launch on Disney Channel in Germany from March 19.

Global kids content distributor Jetpack Distribution has appointed Gillian Calvert Ridge to the newly created role of global head of sales.

Global Icons has secured an exclusive representation agreement with Hostess Brands, the baked goods brand. Known for treats such as Hostess Twinkies, Global will look to expand the brand into new product offerings.
