Silvergate Media and Merlin Entertainments have revealed a new activity trail – Octonauts: The Great Gup Rescue – at SEA LIFE at Mall of America before beginning is voyage to SEA LIFE centres around the world. Expanding on its successful global partnership with Merlin, Silvergate’s new interactive activity based Octonauts trail starts with an underwater storm that has caused major electrical problems leading to all the Gups (the Octonauts’ aquatic vehicles) to break down.
Bulldog Licensing has welcomed two new partners to the CP programme for Care Bears. Fashion-forward brand, Daisy Street will be creating a unique apparel collection consisting of 15 garments covering daywear, nightwear, footwear and accessories. In addition, Fizz Creations will be developing a range of gifting products inspired by characters such as Cheer Bear, Funshine Bear and Share Bear.
The booking site for the Brands & Retail UK summer conference is now open for licensees and retail buyers. The event is taking place at the British Library on Wednesday 6 and Thursday 7 July. Tickets can be booked for free by clicking here. The list of brands taking part is also continuing to grow – V&A, Pink Key Licensing, Retail Monster, Ashmolean Museum Oxford/Start Licensing and Battersea Dogs & Cats Home have all joined the line-up. Art and cultural specialist, ARTiSTORY has partnered with the Thyssen-Bornemisza National Museum, Madrid to build its global licensing programme. One of Madrid’s ‘Golden Triangle of Art’ museums and located in the main boulevard of the city, the museum holds over 1,600 iconic paintings.
The Ukrainian creator of Brave Bunnies, Glowberry has secured a licensing deal with WarnerMedia to broadcast the preschool series in 20 territories across Southeast Asia, as well as Australia and New Zealand. The deal was secured by Glowberry by its exclusive content distribution partner, Aardman.
Acamar Films’ Bing brand is poised for further growth in the Nordics, confirming Maki as the preschool property’s new pan-regional master toy partner. The deal follows the contract renewal with agent Alicom, as Bing continues to deliver strong broadcast ratings across the region.
Intimissimi Uomo – the menswear brand focused on underwear, easywear, nightwear and beachwear within the Italian fashion collective, Calzedonia Group – has created a spring/summer 2022 collection inspired by King Features’ Popeye and Olive Oyl. The range incorporates Popeye’s trademark nautical style across items including underwear, cropped pyjamas, t-shirts, matching socks and swimwear. The designs feature retro-inspired prints and styling influenced by the characters.
