Further enhancing its move into children’s categories, the RHS has confirmed its first collaboration on children’s clothing. George @ Asda has produced a collection of clothing and accessories for 1-7 year olds including shirts, t-shirts, hoodies, dresses, shorts, boots, backpacks and rain hats. The George design team has collaborated with RHS to create a unique print direction featuring hand-drawn illustrations of smiling vegetables, bright garden tools and colourful tractors. There are also slogans encouraging kids to reconnect with nature and grow plans and veg such as ‘I am growing every day’, ‘You can find me in the garden’ and the collection’s tagline ‘Let’s go and grow’, which can be found in back neck prints, back neck tapes and packaging. Swing tags have also been designed in the shape of flower pots.
Wow Stuff has secured the global rights for Love, Diana – the kid’s lifestyle brand based on YouTube sensation, Kids Diana Show. The company will be embedding what it refers to as its ‘Magic-Light Technology’ into the Love, Diana brand’s flagship item, the Magical Wand Hairbrush. The brush is used by Diana in her live action/animated series Love, Diana Adventures to transform into her animated persona, the Princess of Play. Other flagship props from Wow Stuff’s tech team include the Light Up Hair Bows, plus Diana’s Secret Password Journal, a magical voice activated electronic journal with its own secret compartment.
Elsewhere, Spacetoon has been named the master CP licensing agent in the MENA territory for Love, Diana. The company will launch a new line of toys and products. In addition, it has also secured the rights of localising, dubbing and broadcasting Love, Diana Adventures and Kids Diana Show Ultimate Mishmash across the Spacetoon free to air TV channel and Spacetoon GO online streaming service.
Korean street casual brand MARKM has teamed up with the French premium cheese brand, The Laughing Cow on the launch of a new range of apparel and accessories. The range includes short-sleeved t-shirts, caps, a bucket hat, umbrella, eco-bag and socks. The deal was brokered by Infiniss.
Jazwares and Hasbro are expanded the new Micro Machines universe with the debut of their first licensed collection. The range features popular General Motors vehicles such as the Chevrolet, Cadillac and Pontiac.
Las Vegas-based sweatband company Suddora has partnered with emoji on the launch of a range of branded headbands. The deal was brokered by Retail Monster, the emoji company’s US licensing agent.
Spotlight Licensing and Brand Management has renewed a number of deals for the Precious Moments property. Renewing licensees include Commerce Bank, The Doll Maker, PersonalizationMall.com, Rose Textiles, Shine Arts and Zazzle.com.
The Greeting Card Association and Jewel Branding & Licensing have confirmed a new partnership between Noted: The Greeting Card Expo and Showcase. The virtual event will run from 20-21 May.
Media I.M has revealed an extension to its Sunny Bunnies property, as new deals continue to be struck with platforms and broadcasters around the world. It has added the distribution rights to Minsk-based producer Digital Light Studios new educational sub-brand, Sunny Bunnies ABC, which launches this month on the brand’s YouTube channel. The new series is designed to help preschoolers to learn letters, numbers, colours and shapes through a range of craft making activities.
