WildBrain CPLG has secured a raft of new deals in Europe on behalf of LINE FRIENDS‘ brand, BROWN & FRIENDS. New licensees across the UK and Europe include Blueprint Collections (stationery), Gund (plush), Kokomo (health and beauty), Misirli (socks), Poetic Brands (daywear and nightwear), Portico Designs (calendars) and Zak Designs (melamine). Meanwhile, in France Undiz is on board for an underwear and nightwear range, and in Switzerland Confiland has signed for confectionery. In addition, Atomic10 has been appointed as the PR agency for LINE FRIENDS in the UK.

Meanwhile, WildBrain CPLG will also be cooking up a lifestyle programme for Kikkoman, having been signed up to represent the soy sauce brand in Europe.

Acamar Films has welcomed a number of new UK licensees for its Bing preschool property. New deals have been secured with Beautiful Game and Kennedy Publishing, further line extensions with Moonpig and a renewal of the partnership with CBeebies Land at Alton Towers Resort.

The Beyblade Burst franchise is hosting its inaugural digital Beyblade Burst Championship, the 2020 Beymaster Invitational. Hasbro has teamed up with ADK Emotions NY to select top brand fans including influential Bladers and digital influencers from the US and select global markets to go head-to-head in the livestream event. Viewers can tune in to watch the tournament kick off on Saturday October 17 at 9am (EST) on Hasbro’s official Facebook page. The finals will take place the following week, Saturday October 24.

The Stationery Awards 2020 winners have been revealed, with a brace of licensed names picking up accolades. Danilo scooped the Diaries & Calendars category for its Peppa Pig My First Calendar, while Pyramid International‘s Stranger Things VHS notebook won the Licensed Stationery category.

BBC Studios has named Penguin Random House as the master publishing partner for preschool brand, Bluey. PRH now holds global rights in all language (excluding China and Chinese languages) to the Bluey titles.

The emoji company has partnered with the world’s largest fan-driven artist marketplace, Redbubble. The company has launched an official emoji marketplace and Fan Art Partner programme which includes a variety of artwork and product options for fans to choose from. The deal was brokered by Retail Monster, emoji’s North American licensing agent. One new key product category is face coverings with a number of designs available.

Art Nation Agency has been named as the licensing agent for MGA Entertainment in Ukraine. The company will be developing licensing programmes, overseeing marketing, promotions and collaborations for brands including L.O.L. Surprise, Poopsie and Na! Na! Na! Surprise.

Meanwhile, Art Nation Agency has also enjoyed success with Unilever Ukraine on a creative concept for a new herbal Lipton Natura Botanica line. A collaboration with the Prima Maria art brand helped to bring the new product packaging to life.

For the first time, NFL players will appear as playable characters in Subway Surfers through a new group licensing partnership between SYBO Games, NFL Players Association and OneTeam Partners. For three weeks, Subway Surfers gamers can unlock and play as some of the world’s most famous runners. Six NFL players along with their names, numbers, images and likenesses will be unlockable and playable as Subway Surfers in an American football-themed game event.

ZAG has appointed Lisa K Foster as vice president licensing, North America. Lisa will report to Kirk Bloomgarden, the company’s svp global licensing, and will work alongside Rebekah Belzer in her new role as vp new business and retail development.

Italian brand MV Agusta has appointed IMG as its exclusive worldwide licensing representative. Initial categories of focus will include apparel, motorcycle and fashion accessories, video games and collectable products for owners and motorcycle enthusiasts.

Sagoo has partnered with Endemol Shine Group to represent key brands Simon’s Cat, MasterChef and Peaky Blinders across select categories in France.
