A new line of hand drawn art prints from leading British wallpaper design brand, MissPrint, is to be stocked online at Fy, thanks to a deal secured by The Point.1888. Fy will be showcasing 39 of MissPrint’s hand drawn art prints from this month. “MissPrint is no stranger to brand licensing and yet this is the first time we have worked on creating an art print collection inspired by our wallpaper designs,” said Rebecca Drury, co-founder. “It makes perfect sense to create such a product range to attract new customers and I’ve found the whole design process really exciting.”
After working with WildBrain CPLG Benelux since January 1, 2020, Hasbro is expanding the licensing agency’s rights to include the eOne brands. “We are maximising our local partnership with WildBrain CPLG Benelux and adding Peppa Pig, PJ Masks and Ricky Zoom,” said Marianne James, vp of Hasbro Consumer Products in EMEA. “With WildBrain CPLG’s local retail relationships, we see this region as a strong growth market to deepen our consumer connections across merchandising, publishing, promotions and short-term location-based entertainment.”
Studio 100 Media has named Joachim Knödler as head of licensing. He succeeds Gerd Russwurm, who will retire at the end of the year after more than 24 years with the company. In his new role, Joachim – who was most recently md, Central Europe at WildBrain CPLG – will be responsible for the international licensing of the Studio 100 Group.
Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir has expanded worldwide with a slate of new consumer products across the US, Europe, Asia Pacific and Latin America. ZAG Lab and Playmates Toys will roll out new Miraculous toys in Europe this autumn. In addition, new US deals include Little Brown Books and an expanded partnership with InSpirit Designs. Long-term multi-territory alliances have also been secured with Panini and Ferrero.
Premium experience company, Legends has appointed Victoria Hawksley to the new role of vp, international retail, where she will oversee all merchandise operations and strategy. Victoria will lead Legends’ event retail and merchandising vertical solution across ecommerce, in-venue retail, large scale live events, bricks and mortar stores and custom merchandise.
Animation and media company, Futurum has secured a major distribution deal for Paddles, its new CGI animation aimed at four to seven year olds, in Korea. Neon, a leading player in the Korean entertainment market, will distribute the 52×11 series in the key Asian market.
NECA and Universal Brand Development have teamed up on a new Universal Monsters mask series. The set of six limited edition latex display masks include Creature from the Black Lagoon, The Phantom of the Opera, Frankenstein and The Mummy among others.
