Bulldog Licensing has secured deals with Cohen and Wilks, Tikiboo and Park Agencies for the Care Bears brand. Cohen and Wilks will launch a collection of ladies’ nightwear, underwear and babywear based on the bears; Tikiboo will create a range of sportswear including leggings, tank tops, hoodies, bags, t-shirts, shorts, base layers, running jackets, sports bras and running scarves; while Park Agencies will develop a selection of adult apparel including ladies and men’s daywear and nightwear.

Design-led gifting company, Wild & Wolf‘s toy and games brand, Ridley’s Games, will produce bespoke games across the Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars properties. Marking the first ever licensed range for the growing games brand, the product collection will consist of games and puzzles featuring gameplay that remains true to and captures the detail of the licensed characters and properties. Ridley’s bestselling games such as Think Fast and Selfish will be adapted into editions, popular formats such as reaction games will be developed with unique themes, and original games will also be launched across the franchises. The contract covers rights across the UK, France, Iberia, GAS, Benelux, Nordics, Italy, CEE, the Middle East, Africa, Australia and New Zealand, with the initial collection launching in AW20.

The LEGO Group and Universal Brand Development have revealed the first LEGO set inspired by the Fast & Furious franchise. The LEGO Technic Dom’s Dodge Charger is a 1,077-piece replica of street racer Dominic Toretto’s 1970 Dodge Charger R/T. The 1:13 scale replica is available to pre-order now and will launch globally from April 27.

eOne is gearing up for the debut of Ricky Zoom on Channel 5’s Milkshake strand, with episodes set to air from April 20. Milkshake is supporting the launch with pre-promotional on-air exposure and social media nearer to transmission time, while eOne has invested in PR and digital marketing activity to drive tune-in. The company is readying the digital release of three Ricky Zoom songs that will include an extended version of the theme tune and two new original songs, launching on streaming platforms from mid-April. A nationwide influencer outreach campaign spanning parenting influencers, with a combined platform of 1.2 million across the UK, will promote the positive brand values of fun and family to encourage co-viewing and kids to create their own outdoor bike-style adventures together.

Magic Light Pictures‘ animated festive special, Zog has scooped the International Emmy in the Kids Awards Best Animation category at this year’s International Emmy Kids Awards. This marks Zog’s second award win in as many weeks, as Magic Light also took home the Best Children’s Award at the recent RTS Awards held a fortnight ago.

During World Autism Awareness Week, Edutainment Licensing has secured a new licensing partnership for the three Horace & Co storybooks (by Flossy and Jim) with the Bookrkids digital library.

Neal Street Productions has appointed Spotlight Licensing and Brand Management to launch and manage the US and Canadian merchandise licensing programme for Call the Midwife. The agency has already signed and begun working with its first licensee – Rizzoli International Publications will create 2021 and 2022 wall calendars under its Universe Publishing imprint. Spotlight Licensing will coordinate its efforts with Call the Midwife’s global master agent, Metrostar.

Asmodee Entertainment has welcomed Christian Dunn has its new interactive games licensing manager. Christian – a 20-year licensing and publishing veteran of the games industry – joins the company from Games Workshop. He will principally be focusing on interactive licensing opportunities across Asmodee’s game brands such as Catan, Ticket to Ride, Dobble/Spot It, Arkham Horror, KeyForge and Legend of the Five Rings.

Meanwhile, Asmodee Entertainment has partnered with Dark Horse Comics to create licensed art books for three of its tabletop gaming properties: Android Universe, Arkham Horror and KeyForge.

Genius Brands International and its home entertainment partner, Distribution Solutions, will be launching the first two DVD releases of Rainbow Rangers in Walmart, Target and Amazon.

Building on the launch of its Caring for Each Other initiative, Sesame Workshop is rolling out new content to help families stay physically and mentally healthy as the coronavirus pandemic continues. The content on sesamestreet.org/caring includes animations on healthy habits, resources providing comfort and activities that caregivers can use to spark learning in areas like reading, maths, science and more. The animated spots – which will be available in 19 languages – include Elmo’s new ‘Washy Wash’ song, as well as Sesame Street Muppets learning how to sneeze properly.
