Liverpool fans can now get their hands on a new collection of exclusive Hello Kitty x LFC merchandise following a global deal between the club and Sanrio. Made up of a wide variety of products for children – from backpacks and drinks bottles through to stationery sets and footballs – the new range merges LFC’s sporting style with Sanrio’s iconic character and features 35 key pieces. The collection also includes apparel for babies, girls and women, each emblazoned with the signature Hello Kitty character. Hello Kitty herself made a special appearance at the club’s Anfield store to unveil the range.
The LEGO Group has revealed the first ever LEGO Technic Top Gear set, in partnership with BBC Studios. The authentic looking GT Rally car will launch globally from December 26. LEGO Technic designers joined forces with the BBC Top Gear team to co-design the body of the car and accompanying stickers. The model is remote controlled via the LEGO Technic Control+ app.
Gene Simmons, co-founder of iconic rock band KISS, has appointed IMG as his first exclusive global licensing representative. IMG will work with Gene to build a licensing programme targeting multiple product categories including apparel, homeware, automotive, travel accessories, gaming and electronics, with products launching in early 2020. In addition, IMG’s representation will include promotions, commercial tie-ins and brand endorsements.
Pioneer Europe has launched its Disney Frozen 2 balloon and partyware ranges. The new Qualatex and Pioneer Party ranges feature Elsa, Anna, Kristoff and Olaf on balloon designs and tableware items. Products include the Frozen 2 Bubble Balloon, 11″ printed latex balloons, plus plates, cups, drinking straws, a birthday banner, party bags and table cover.
Crunchyroll has confirmed a collaboration with What’s Your Passion jewellery. The exclusive collection for The Rising of the Shield Hero features designs from the series along with fan favourite characters Naofumi, Filo and Raphtalia.
Endemol Shine North America has named Scott Shillet as its new executive director, licensing. In his new role, Scott will support the development of brand licensing partnerships across a variety of CP categories and experiences for the company’s non-scripted and scripted series in the US.
Collectable specialist Fanattik has partnered with Studio MDHR and King Features Syndicate to add video game Cuphead to its portfolio. The deal was brokered by Allsorts Licensing, King Features’ UK agent.
