Samsonite has launched a new Frozen 2 collection ahead of the arrival of the eagerly anticipated Disney movie. Featuring a ‘glistening’ lilac colour palette, there are three styles available: two backpack sizes and a small upright suitcase.
Meanwhile, Disney Store has revealed its top ten list of Christmas gifts. Top gifts this year include Anna and Elsa Travel Costumes, Anna and Elsa Singing Dolls, Buzz Lightyear Interactive Talking Action Figure, Sith Trooper Costume, Spider-man Talking Action Figure, Mickey and Friends Holiday Cheer Advent Calendar, Holiday Cheer Christmas Jumpers, Mickey and Minnie Medium Soft Toys, Stitch Festive Hanging Ornament and Minnie Mouse Holiday Cheer Baby Dress.
eOne has secured a multi-year agreement with Leolandia – Italy’s leading theme park destination – which will see the launch of the world’s first PJ Masks City theme park attraction in 2020. The attraction will be fully themed around the preschool brand including rides, shops, restaurants and more.
Locksmith Animation is to create an animated feature for digital platforms based on a series of Christmas children’s books by writer/director, Richard Curtis. The three books in the series – The Empty Stocking, Snow Day and the forthcoming That Christmas – each tell a family story which takes place in the run up to Christmas in a rural coastal town based on Richard’s home. The stories will be interwoven to create what Locksmith describes as ‘Love Actually for kids’.
Fashion designer Isaac Mizrahi has teamed with Sesame Workshop for an exclusive new collection of Sesame Street children’s wear, plush and accessories in celebration of the show’s 50th anniversary. The collaboration combines Isaac’s prints, concepts and signature aesthetic with Sesame Street’s characters and colours. Products include infant and toddler apparel, plush, kids’ backpacks, furry outerwear and cold weather hats featuring Elmo, Cookie Monster and Abby Cadabby among others.
Sportswear giant Kappa is celebrating its arrival in esports with a one-off, limited edition casual wear collection for fans of UK-based team Vexed Gaming. Two t-shirt designs have been launched with the pre-sale of a Kappa-Vexed Hoodie from the team’s permanent 2020 collection, which will be formally released at the end of the month. The shirts are the first products released as part of Kappa’s landmark partnership with Vexed Gaming, which was confirmed earlier this year.
Maurizio Distefano Licensing, which manages the licensing programme for fashion brand Premoli + Di Bella, has confirmed the arrival at retail of the first range in a major agreement with Mirabello Carrara for a home linen collection. A table collection is also planned.
York Wallcoverings is launching a new Stylemakers collection of fine wallcoverings with design entrepreneur, Christiane Lemieux.
The Precious Moments merchandise licensing programme continues to expand, with Spotlight Licensing securing a further three deals. Recently added licensees include Everyday Kids for infant and toddler bedding; Rauch Industries for glass holiday ornaments; and Springs Creative Products Group for fabric.
9 Story Media Group has named Emmy Award winning producer Karen Fowler as vp, development (animation and live action), heading up the 9 Story development team in Toronto.
