The Copyrights Group has revealed its new style guide for Paddington, inspired by Peggy Fortnum’s classic illustrations of the bear.
The new asset pack extends the offering of thepopular ‘Classic Paddington’ artwork into the baby and gifting space by stylising the art sympathetically with fresh warm palettes and graphic treatments.
‘Mmmm Marmalade!’ was created by Watermelon Creative in collaboration with Copyrights’ creative team to celebrate Paddington’s fondness for food and the natural world.
Warm colours have been associated with Paddington’s favourites – such as marmalade sandwiches, oranges, bees and flowers – alongside inspiring quotes.
“We are delighted to expand our creative offering for Classic Paddington which celebrates Paddington as a heritage brand with a modern look,” commented James Hinton, vp creative services at The Copyrights Group (a STUDIOCANAL company). “The new guide turned many heads at Licensing Expo Vegas and we are already dealing with inquiries about its potential across multiple categories.”
Meanwhile, STUDIOCANAL has announced the cast of the next movie, Paddington in Peru.
Returning cast Hugh Bonneville, Julie Walters, Ben Whishaw, Jim Broadbent, Imelda Staunton, Madeleine Harris and Samuel Joslin, will be joined by Olivia Colman, Antonio Banderas, Rachel Zegler and Emily Mortimer, who will join as Mrs Brown after Sally Hawkins decided to hand over the reins.
