Lucasfilm’s immersive entertainment division teams with The Void for initiative.
A new hyper reality Star Wars experience is running at Westfield shopping centre – the first of its kind in London.
Lucasfilm’s immersive entertainment division – ILMxLAB – has teamed with The Void, which combines physical sets with real-time interactive effects to create fully immersive worlds.
Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire will transport guests into the Star Wars universe, allowing them to walk through hyper reality interactive sets with real-time special effects and innovative technology.
They will be disguised as stormtroopers, on the molten planet of Mustafar, in a mission to recover Imperial intelligence vital to the Rebellion’s survival, reports Campaign.
The experience is set in a timeline that precedes Rogue One.
It will run until March 7 at Westfield London, while it is also currently running at Disney Springs, Orlando before moving to Downtown Disney District in California in January.
