Birthday year will start with new gift launches at Top Drawer for classic brand.
Miffy is kicking off 65th birthday celebrations for 2020 with the launch of new gift lines at Top Drawer next week.
Soft toys is a key category for the brand and Top Drawer – which runs at London’s Olympia from January 12-14 – will see Rainbow Designs unveil a new baby range in a contemporary navy stripe. The company will also have additions to its pure white ‘Simply Miffy’ collection.
In designer gifting, Magpie has launched a new gift and homewares range including ceramics, tea towels and coasters, all in Miffy’s distinctive bold primary colours. This spring will see extensions into new areas, including bamboo travel mugs, plates and tin lines.
Meanwhile, Licensed to Charm will release a range of silver and gold vermeil jewellery for the teen and adult market, marking a new development for the brand in the UK. The collection includes necklaces, earrings, brooches and collectable charms.
There will also be a number of new additions to Stitch and Story’s popular knitting and crochet sets, while greeting card partner Hype will launch a new range of bright, graphic preschool cards, as well a boxed Miffy pin badge collection.
“The popularity of this much-loved character is growing year on year,” said Alicia Davenport, licensing director at DRi Licensing. “Appealing across the generations, Miffy’s simple design and distinctive colour palette is more on-trend than ever and it’s hugely exciting to see so many beautiful, innovative ranges lined up for the anniversary year.”
