New fashion collaborations boost Dragon Ball Z brand

Anime brand Dragon Ball Z has bagged a brace of fashion collaborations with Lee and Criminal Damage.

The new Lee collection includes tops, tees, shorts and a knit dress, with each piece featuring iconic Dragon Ball Z characters such as Goku and the franchise’s logo, reported The Industry.Fashion.

“A generation of fans were introduced to anime through Dragon Ball Z in the ‘90s, and that same generation grew up wearing Lee,” commented Joe Broyles, global vp of collaborations at Lee. “This capsule takes a fun approach to blend authentic nostalgia with trends. We’re excited to introduce it to fans of yesterday and today.”

Meanwhile, streetwear brand Criminal Damage is launching a limited edition collection paying homage to some key Dragon Ball Z characters such as Vegeta and Shenron, as well as Goku.

The 18-piece collection includes t-shirts, hoodies, jeans and cargo trousers among other items.

“We are so proud to be collaborating with such an iconic brand,” commented Monty Aytan, creative director at Criminal Damage. “The garments are a creative fusion of streetwear mixed with the classic retro feel that makes Dragon Ball Z instantly recognisable across the globe.”
