Thunderbirds Are Go takes experiential route

ITVS GE secures deals with Paragon Creative and Immersive Rides for property.

ITV Studios Global Entertainment has secured a brace of deals in the experiential and direct to consumer categories for Thunderbirds Are Go.

Firstly, Paragon Creative will develop themed attractions and experiences for the property.

Paragon has experience in more than 26 countries building attractions for museums, heritage centres, aquariums, science centres, theme parks, interpretation centres, stately homes, nightclubs and more.

Examples of its work include a Wallace & Gromit ride at Blackpool Pleasure Beach, the Titanic Experience in Belfast and the Coronation Street Tour.

Initial concepts for the Thunderbirds Are Go experiential attraction put guests at the heart of the experience, by asking ‘Can you be the next Thunderbird? International Rescue is recruiting!’

Meanwhile, Immersive Rides has developed a Dark Ride System for a Thunderbirds Are Go attraction.

The concept is built around a customisable ride, in which there are seven unique options to choose from, each including a particular Thunderbird vehicle.

Guests will enjoy an immersive pre-ride show, then select their own Thunderbird character and vehicle in order to start their personal mission. The Dark Ride will use the latest technology in Interactive Mapping Screens to provide guests with a mind-blowing experience personally chosen by them.

Trudi Hayward, svp global head of merchandise at ITVS GE, said: “Direct-to-Consumer is a key component of ITVS GE’s strategy and we are very excited to welcome on board two important players in this category.

“Thunderbirds Are Go lends itself perfectly to experiential family activities and we look forward to seeing these in action.”
