New Despicable Me 3 trailer ignites social media

Hype continues to build ahead of June 30 release of hotly tipped movie.

Universal is stoking the fire ahead of the summer arrival of Despicable Me 3, with a new trailer hitting social media yesterday (March 14).

At just under three minutes, the trailer introduces us to Dru, the twin brother of Gru, who tries to tempt him back into a life of villainy.

The trailer received a strong reaction from fans across social media – including YouTube and Twitter; at time of press it had notched up just over 380,000 views on Universal’s YouTube channel.

Plans for the licensing programme surrounding Despicable Me 3 are already well underway.
