Ian Chambers brings gaming background from Ubisoft and EA to the role.
Mind Candy has welcomed a new ceo, and he told The Source that he’s looking forward to “launching new brands” as well as driving forward Moshi Monsters and World of Warriors.
Ian Chambers arrives at the company with extensive experience in the video games space, having held senior roles at Ubisoft, Electronic Arts, Game and IGN.
He has worked with video game franchises such as Far Cry, Prince of Persia and FIFA, as well as leading the growth of several digital businesses, most notably as international md of IGN, expanding it from one language to 12 during his time there.
“It is really exciting to join a company that excels in both online and offline products and I am looking forward to launching new brands, as well as driving Moshi Monsters and World of Warriors forward,” Ian told The Source.
Mind Candy founder and chairman, Michael Acton Smith, added: “We are thrilled to have Ian on board. His experience in entertainment and digital marketing will be very valuable for Mind Candy to develop existing brands and launch new ones. The team and I are really looking forward to working with him.”
Mind Candy confirmed that it was restructuring its business last November.
