New Betty Boop fashion collab nears sell out

Betty Boop x Supreme tie up boosted by celebrity social media shares.

A new fashion collaboration between Betty Boop and NYC streetwear brand Supreme has arrived – with parts of the collection already on the way to selling out after celebrity pics appeared on Instagram.

The new collection consists of six items – satin club jacket, raglan, rayon shirt, denim crusher, shirt and pin.

The collection is a staggered release throughout the spring season, and is available from all Supreme retail locations across the world and online.

An accompanying sticker which coincides with the release will be given away to customers along with their purchases in-store.

Within hours of posting the $248 jackets online, the site’s inventory was marked as ‘sold out’.

This was no doubt helped by regular Supreme campaign photographer Terry Richardson previewing a picture from the shoot on Instagram of supermodel Bella Hadid wearing the jacket.

Bella also shared the photo, resulting in pick up from a raft of fashion press.

“We are delighted with the fan reaction to the new Betty Boop x Supreme release. Betty is fun, fashionable and right on trend for today’s young women,” said David Golzman, King Features director, North American licensing – retail.
