Families can now create their own portraits using a range of classic characters and pets.
Fans of the Mr Men Little Miss can now create their own family portraits using a range of classic characters and pets.
The new Mr Men Little Miss family portrait service allows fans to feature up to seven family members or pets identified as a different character.
The new service was launched by Mr Tickle, who took a trip to the National Portrait Gallery in London with a special artwork (pictured).
The launch also ties in with new research carried out by Mr Men Little Miss, examining the make-up of modern families and revealing how they have changed from the traditional view – with Brits counting at least one of their friends as a member of the family.
According to the research, almost two thirds of us (59%) rely on friends for help and advice as much as we do our families.
In addition, 74% of Brits consider pets to be part of the family, while 1.5 million Brits think pets are more important than members of their immediate family.
Mothers-in-law are more popular than the stereotype suggests, with 90% of us considering them part of our immediate family and more than half of us feeling close to them.
With the help of camera phones, 2.6 million Brits now take a family portrait every day.
Alastair McHarrie of Mr Men Ltd. commented: “We know no two families are the same, and this research proves just that, which is why we created our Family Portraits with a host of familiar characters and some brand new pets.
“Alongside some classic Happyland backgrounds, this means there are over 231m possible combinations, meaning your portrait will be as unique as your family is.”
