The Children with Cancer UK Mr Happy Mr Worry Hill is at Hampton Court Palace Flower Show this week.
The Mr Men Little Miss show garden at this week’s RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show has been awarded with a silver medal.
The Children with Cancer UK Mr Happy Mr Worry Hill (pictured) was created to raise awareness of the crucial role that research plays in developing kinder, less toxic treatments for children.
Designed by Reed Studio, the garden is set within Misterland with the key theme being a split hill with iconic features from Mr Men illustrations. One side represents happy and the other worry.
Bright shades of yellow and orange symbolise the feelings and emotions of happiness, and the shades of blue and purple symbolise the feelings of worry. On one side a waterfall represents tears, and on the other side a light wall represents hope.
Alastair McHarrie, licensing director for Mr Men Little Miss, commented: “We’re over the moon to be awarded a silver medal for our show-stopping garden at the RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show. It’s been an exciting project to work on with our charity partner Children with Cancer UK – as part of their 30th anniversary celebrations.
“We’ve been blown away by the hard work and creativity of Emma Reed our garden designer and her team.”
