Mothercare and Paul Dennicci win at PPS Awards

Star Wars baby line wins Best Preschool Apparel or Accessories range.

The Star Wars baby range for Mothercare from Paul Dennicci added another award to the mantlepiece at yesterday’s Progressive Preschool Awards.

The collection received the Best Preschool Apparel or Accessories Range at the event, which was held in The Dorchester, Park Lane, London.

In addition, Mothercare also picked up the Best Multiple Retailer of Preschool Products accolade, while Barbara Robinson, head of licensing and character, was honoured with the Outstanding Achievement Award.

Sambro was also celebrating after picking up the Best Preschool Toy or Games Range for its Play-Doh Creative Workshop.

Other winners included Sainsbury’s (Best Supermarket Retailer of Preschool Products), Boots (Best Mixed Retailer of Preschool Products), Bentalls of Kingston (Best Department Store Retailer of Preschool Products) and Little Tikes for the Little Trikers campaign (The Marketing Award).

Over 400 preschool product suppliers and retailers packed into The Dorchester for the event, which was hosted by Sean Collins.

“The third year of the PPS Awards were without doubt the most exciting yet, with record entry levels, the most exciting judging days seen to date, and indeed a total sell out audience for the awards ceremony itself,” said publisher Rob Willis.
