As part of its 25th anniversary, British footwear brand Moshulu has launched a limited edition, sustainable range in collaboration with Europe’s largest conservation charity, the National Trust.
Through sales of the National Trust footwear collection for autumn/winter 2022, Moshulu will contribute a minimum of £10,000 to the National Trust.
The nine-part women’s range is Devon-based Moshulu’s most environmentally conscious collection to date, with carefully selected sustainable materials used, including recycled cotton laces, recycled plastic bottle ‘suede’, responsibly sourced leather and recycled rubber soles.
Together, Moshulu and the National Trust have also created an exclusive coastal print featuring seaweeds, plants and shells native to Britain, used throughout the collection to celebrate the UK’s coastline.
“We’ve loved working with the charity’s team and reinventing a selection of our bestselling styles in sustainable materials and gorgeous prints, while upholding what our customers value from us; comfort, colour and detail,” commented Kate James, head of marketing at Moshulu. “Being a Devon-based brand, and with almost 60% of our stores within a half hour drive of the coast, we adore our beautiful seashores.
“That’s why it’s important for Moshulu to support a charity like the National Trust, and donate 10% from every purchase of this gorgeous range to help fund their vital coastal conservation.”
Becky Stanford, brand licensing manager at National Trust, added: “This collection captures the essence of the coastline so beautifully – I can almost feel the seaweed swaying in the ocean. More importantly, Moshulu are really bringing the story of the coast, the wildlife that lives there and the need for protection to customers, and that is wonderful to see.
“I’m thrilled that our collection with Moshulu is their most sustainable yet. It is these shared values that are at the heart of our collaboration. We hope that it will prove a popular collection, and by buying these items people will share our love for the coast and support the work we do caring for it.”
