Moschino creates Betty Boop inspired collection

First limited edition collection has been created to celebrate the 2018 Chinese New Year.

Fashion house Moschino has taken inspiration from Betty Boop’s cartoon pup, Pudgy, for a limited edition collection to celebrate the 2018 Chinese New Year.

February 16 kicks off the Year of the Dog, the 11th star of the Chinese horoscope.

Those who are borne in the Year of the Dog have a sunny disposition, are intelligent, honest and known to be loyal, characteristics that Pudgy embodies perfectly, plus a pinch of irony which is the mark of Moschino’s creations.

The ready-to-wear collection and accessories includes seven items (sweater, T-shirt, dress, backpack, key ring, scarf, iPhone case), all in Betty’s signature colour red, traditionally considered a goodwill colour.

The Moschino collection will be available online, as well as the main boutiques in Milan, Rome, London, Paris, New York and LA, plus Moschino’s franchise networks.
