More Beast Quest publishing on the way

Coolabi secures deal with Orchard Books for a further ten years.

The Beast Quest franchise is set for further expansion, with Coolabi and Working Partners inking a deal with Orchard Books to publish the series for another ten years.

The hit book series – first published in 2007 – has now sold over 15 million copies globally. There are over 100 titles published to date, available in more than 30 languages.

A number of formats have been created including the core fiction series, sticker books and collectors’ non fiction titles.

In addition, expanding the brand further, a Beast Quest gaming app has been created by Coolabi and Miniclip, achieving more than six million downloads to date.

Valerie Fry, licensing director at Coolabi, said: “This is great news, demonstrating the strength of the brand, demand from the fans and continued publishing commitment for many years to come.”

Megan Larkin, publishing director of Orchard Books, added: “As the leading publisher of series fiction for children we’re thrilled to renew our commitment to Beast Quest, the top boys’ series for almost a decade.

“We have lots of exciting plans to attract even more fans around the 10th anniversary in 2017.”
