Moonbug marks 10 years of Blippi

Moonbug Entertainment, part of Candle Media, has announced a year-long celebration for the 10th anniversary of the Blippi franchise, with new consumer products partnerships, content and guest appearances as well as new live shows and meet-and-greets.

Fans of the brand can look forward to special Blippi moments this year including a new footwear collaboration with Reebok, a new vehicle-themed series, special episodes from NASA in Houston and Wimbledon in the UK, and live experiences where they can interact with the beloved characters in person.

Blippi has become a worldwide sensation with more than 1bn monthly views across platforms and millions of fans around the world.

“We’re proud to celebrate 10 years of the Blippi franchise with so many incredible partners, and so many special episodes,” said Moonbug’s Mike Katzman, general manager, Blippi. “For the last decade, Blippi has encouraged a lifelong love of learning while instilling confidence and curiosity in young kids. We can’t wait to bring the joy of Blippi to a new generation of fans.”

Moonbug has secured a slate of product collaborations for the Blippi franchise in 2024, with partners such as Build-A-Bear Workshop, tonies and Simple Modern launching products earlier this year.

New collaborations will hit shelves later this year, including a footwear collaboration with Reebok and a bamboo sleepwear and apparel collection from Bums and Roses.

Additionally, at the end of 2023, Moonbug Entertainment awarded the Blippi global master toy license to Spin Master. Toys and games from the licence will hit shelves in 2025.

In the content realm, Moonbug is taking Blippi and Meekah on new adventures for the 10th anniversary, promising an exciting content pipeline of new shows, specials, partnerships and collaborations.

Back in February, Blippi and Sesame Street partnered for the very first time. The three-part special kicked off with Sesame Street favourites Elmo and Abby joining the Blippi-verse. Additional episodes will launch in June and September this year.

In June, Blippi will feature in special episodes filmed at NASA. Blippi will share fascinating facts about space when he visits the NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston. 
A few weeks later, budding tennis players can watch two episodes surrounding The Championships, Wimbledon.

Blippi fans who missed the latest live stage tour will be able to enjoy Blippi: The Wonderful World Tour from the comfort of their homes on YouTube and Hulu this coming July. In the show, Blippi and special guest Meekah discover what makes different cities unique and special through song and dance.

Also this summer, Blippi’s special 10th anniversary celebrations come to the show on YouTube, where fans can enjoy larger-than-life stunt episodes featuring Blippi’s Biggest Ballpit Ever and Blippi’s Candy Escape Challenge.

In October, Blippi will get into the spooky season spirit with a 60-minute Halloween special, while the following month, a new Blippi vehicle-themed series called Go Go Blippi Show will delight young automotive fans. The series features several world-class brands, including Monster Jam, which hosted Blippi and Meekah at their World Finals event at Sofi Stadium.

Blippi fans can look forward to more touchpoints in the live sphere in 2024. Moonbug and Round Room recently announced a new music education-focused live show, Blippi: Join the Band Tour, which launches in the US and Canada in autumn 2024.

Following the success of the 2023 Olivier Award nominated debut, Blippi: The Musical, Blippi: The Wonderful World Tour returns to the West End this summer for 10 weeks of performances and will also tour South East Asia and the Middle East.
