Master toy line for Andrew Davenport’s new series will launch under Playskool brand in UK.
Hasbro has signed up as the master toy and game partner for the hotly tipped new Andrew Davenport series, Moon and Me.
The deal – revealed at US Toy Fair in New York this weekend – was secured with Sutikki, the new kids and family division of Bento Box Entertainment.
It comes hot on the heels of last week’s news that CBeebies will air the series from early 2018.
Hasbro will launch its line based on Moon and Me in 2018 under its Playskool brand in the UK. Additional markets will follow as the show rolls out worldwide.
“We are very excited to announce Hasbro as our global master toy licensee for Moon and Me,” said Andrew Kerr, co-founder of Sutikki. “With a rich history of innovation and brand storytelling we couldn’t imagine a better, more appropriate lead partner for the project.
“We’re also very proud that with this announcement today, Hasbro becomes Sutikki’s first ever global master toy licensee.”
Samantha Lomow, svp at Hasbro Brands, added: “We are thrilled to team up with Sutikki to help bring Foundling Bird’s amazing Moon and Me series to life through our upcoming preschool product line.
“We are truly inspired by Andrew Davenport’s prestigious background and unique creative vision for Moon and Me and can’t wait to add this exciting new property to our Playskool portfolio.”
Andrew Davenport continued: “I am very excited to be working with my friends at Hasbro again.
“Hasbro is the perfect choice of partner for Moon and Me and I’m thrilled that the Playskool team will be bringing their creativity, expertise and innovation to the brand.”
