Mondo TV to licence Santoro’s Gorjuss brand in Italy

Mondo TV has been appointed as the licensing agent in Italy for Santoro’s character brand, Gorjuss.

The brand – which revolves around imagery featuring sweet stripey-socked girls with big hearts – has over 400 characters in its portfolio and is known in more than 90 countries.

Mondo believes there is vast potential in the Italian market and is looking to target categories including apparel, toys, publishing, cosmetics, homeware, gifts, food and confectionery.

“Santoro has designed, created and produced multiple successful character brands over the last 30 years and Gorjuss, with its unique style, its charm and its international appeal, it’s a massive hit,” commented Valentina La Macchia, licensing director at Mondo TV. “We are thrilled to be partnering Santoro to expand the presence of Gorjuss in the Italian market where we are sure it will enjoy enormous success across many categories.”

Jo Campbell, general manager at Santoro Licensing, continued: “Having connected instantly with Valentina and recognising her passion for Gorjuss, we are certain that this partnership is the perfect opportunity to expand in Italy – a key European market for our brand.

“We are confident that Mondo TV’s unmatched expertise across content creation, distribution and, of course, licensing, will prove crucial in our overall brand strategy for Gorjuss. We are absolutely delighted to be working with Mondo TV in Italy and very much look forward to this collaboration.”
