Moleskine unveils Frida Kahlo collection

Range of three luxury notebooks launches following deal with Art Ask Agency.

Moleskine has launched a collection of three luxury notebooks inspired by Frida Kahlo, following a deal with Art Ask Agency.

Each notebook in the collection – which is designed to inspire fans to seize the creative moment and ‘express their own truth’ in words or drawings – reflects Frida’s vibrant artistic approach and introspective nature.

A marketing campaign supporting the launch will run under the title of ‘Explore Your Own Reality’. Selected physical stores will present the range with full-scale in-store installations including in Milan, Rome, London’s Regent Street, Paris, LA, San Francisco, New York, Beijing and Shanghai.

There is also a full spread editorial on Frida in Moleskine’s magazine, FOLD, which is distributed worldwide and online.

Fans are also being invited to take part in a Frida challenge – they are tasked with creating a self-portrait which represents their ‘true self’ by November 28.

“This launch is truly one of my dearest dreams come true,” said Maria Strid, owner of Art Ask Agency. “Moleskine is the height of quality and heritage when it comes to notebooks and I am the number one stationery freak.”

Simona Sbarbaro, brand and communications director at Moleskine, added: “Frida Kahlo was truly a legendary woman and her legacy reverberates to this day, as her work and life continue to inspire and touch the lives of so many.

“Moleskine is immensely pleased to join forces with the Frida Kahlo Corporation in a celebration of this truly remarkable artist and woman with a Limited Edition Collection dedicated to her.”
