Licensing programme to receive boost as property set to air on channel from September 29.
The Molang brand is to debut on free to air channel Tiny POP this week – giving the IP a significant boost ahead of Brand Licensing Europe.
Molang – from French producer Millimages and handled in the UK and Ireland by Licensing Link Europe – will launch on the channel from September 29.
Molang has now reached over 190 countries and counts a total of 156 episodes, plus TV specials which cover three different themes: Halloween, Christmas and Summer Holidays.
“We are absolutely delighted with this development as Molang readies himself for free to air TV here in the UK,” said Ian Wickham, director of Licensing Link Europe. “The show is building awareness both in the US and across Europe, so timing is perfect for us to now make our mark here in the UK, too.
“With the level of commitment we’ve received for the show in terms of broadcast scheduling and key categories signed, then the future is most definitely looking bright.”
Licensees for Molang include TOMY – which is European master toy – as well as Aykroyd & Sons, TDP Textiles, Smith & Brooks, Roy Lowe & Sons, Fashion UK, Poetic Brands, Click Distribution, Blueprint Collections, Hype Associates, Danilo, DJ Murphy and Kennedy Publishing.
Licensing Link Europe will be showcasing Molang on its stand at Brand Licensing Europe in October (A20) with the Millimages team.
