Molang and Pinkfong meet in new animated shorts

French animation studio, Millimages has joined forces with Baby Shark creator, The Pinkfong Company for a new collaboration.

Two new animated shorts will introduce the Molang and Pinkfong characters for the first time, crossing over into each other’s universe in a friendship-themed adventure in honour of the summer of sport in France.

The two shorts – which premiered on 15 and 17 July – see the characters meeting and then facing off in friendly sports challenges, leading to a firework show in front of the Eiffel Tower.

“The collaboration between these two trendy and cute intellectual properties marks the beginning of a magical and exciting new chapter for both our characters and companies,” commented Kévin Maintrot, head of digital strategy at Millimages. “This spontaneous, and organic partnership makes perfect sense. By connecting in real life and brainstorming with open minds, we have developed a shared vision and goal of co-creating engaging content and expanding our reach to diverse audiences.

“In today’s self-centered and inauthentic digital landscape, we need more partnerships like this to share meaningful values and continue to innovate in the digital media world.”

Jieun Lee, team lead of short-form content strategy at The Pinkfong Company, continued: “We are thrilled to bring together two beloved icons, Pinkfong and Molang, in a fun and magical collaboration that celebrates friendship and the spirit of summer sports. Collaborating with a like-minded partner is truly meaningful to us, and we can’t wait for fans of both characters to enjoy this new adventure in a fun and exciting way.”
