Licensing team will be affected by the changes at the company.
Mind Candy has confirmed to The Source that the business is currently being restructured, with the licensing team being affected by the move.
In a statement, the company said: “Mind Candy is currently restructuring the business and bringing all of its team back under one roof in London.
“As part of the process some teams may be reduced in size, including licensing.
“However, Mind Candy are committed to their partners and will continue to support the World of Warriors licensing programme.”
Last week (November 10), Mind Candy confirmed it was closing its Brighton studio, Candy Labs, where World of Warriors was developed.
In an interview with Gamesindustry.biz, founder Michael Acton Smith said that with the switch from web-business to mobile “the commercial engine which drove the business was just no longer there”.
“The amazing revenues which we had have just declined dramatically and we, and a lot of other kids’ web properties, haven’t been able to build successful businesses on mobile for a whole host of reasons,” he said.
The Source reported in October that Mind Candy was looking at relaunching Moshi Monsters in 2017, potentially led by animation.
