Pop Trading Company combines two classics as Miffy meets the Converse Jack Purcell Pro.
Converse and Amsterdam-based Pop Trading Company are bringing classic character Miffy into the skateboarding world this summer with a new collaboration.
In the decades since her creation, Miffy has resonated around the world through her approachable look and her signature positivity. Growing up with Miffy in the Netherlands, Pop Trading Company’s co-founders Peter Kolks and Ric van Rest had a cheeky but playful idea of melding their crafted menswear with the cartoon’s endearing persona.
The duo took the idea to owner Mercis, and in 2019, released the first menswear line featuring her likeness.
Now, the company is bringing two classics together with the Jack Purcell Pro – a performance version of the court classic designed specifically for skateboarding.
Available in two iterations, one offering provides an embroidered all-over Miffy print, while a second version presents Miffy holding a balloon screen-printed on the upper.
Completing the pack, Converse and Pop Trading co-branding is found on the license plate and sockliner with ‘Pop Trading Company’ printed within the Jack Purcell’s signature ‘smile’ on the toe cap.
The Pop/Miffy for Converse CONS Jack Purcell Pro capsule also maintains its signature performance benefits and is available now at select retailers around the world and www.poptradingcompany.com.
