MHS Licensing + Consulting is celebrating three decades in business this year.
The art licensing and consulting agency originally began as a sports marketing and licensing company, before evolving into the agency it is today.
After helping guide a sports apparel company to exponential growth, largely due to licensing, industry veteran Marty Segelbaum set his sights on even bigger opportunities and formed MHS Licensing + Consulting which began acquiring licensed properties for its clients and building successful licensing programmes for the brands it represented.
In 2001, John Haesler joined the company, bringing valuable expertise from his tenure at Target Stores and further strengthening its consulting division.
Today MHS represents a diverse portfolio of over 70 successful art properties including well-known brands such as Thomas Kinkade, The Hautman Brothers, Stephanie Ryan and Abraham Hunter. With a library exceeding 70,000 designs, MHS has built strong, long-term partnerships with hundreds of licensees, generating annual retail sales exceeding $200 million.
In addition to its core licensing business, MHS provides consulting services across various industries including apparel, home décor, craft/hobby, food gifts, seasonal products and sporting goods.
“The hard work of our talented team, the ability to anticipate and leverage market trends, and most importantly, the deep and long-standing relationships we’ve cultivated over the years,” commented Marty.
