Meet Vincent van Gogh Experience opens in Madrid

Following successful showings in Barcelona, London and Lisbon in 2020 and 2021, the Meet Vincent van Gogh Experience is today (30 September) opening its doors in Madrid.

The award winning immersive 3D experience invites visitors to travel into the world of Vincent van Gogh.

They are guided by life-sized projections of works, photographs and film fragments, detailed reproductions, multimedia interactives and applications, theatrical pieces of scenery, audiovisual scenes and quotes taken from more than 800 letters.

The experience is open to visitors from 30 September 2021 to 9 January 2022 at the Espacio Ibercaja Delicias cultural centre (Paseo de las Delicias, 61) in Madrid.

It will then travel on to Latin America in spring 2022 in a continued collaboration with Proactiv Entertainment, with location and opening date to be confirmed.

“The Meet Vincent van Gogh Experience has provided us with a new and innovative means of inspiring people with the work and life of Vincent van Gogh,” commented Rob Groot, md of the Van Gogh Museum. “It is our mission to reach a diverse audience, and the locations of the Experience in Madrid, and later Latin America, will help us achieve this goal.

“The production and promotion is once again in the hands of our experienced and trusted partner Proactiv Entertainment, who will be spearheading the continued success of the Experience.”

Nicolas Renna, md of Proactiv Entertainment, continued: “The Meet Vincent van Gogh Experience is a cultural phenomenon and an internationally award winning  immersive exhibition which we are sure the public of all ages will enjoy visiting.

“At Proactiv, we are delighted to bring this unique experience to Madrid for the first time, allowing visitors to delve into the Dutch painter’s life and most renowned works.”
