MDR Brand Management acquires Click! Licensing Asia

Acquisition creates ‘most comprehensive’ pan-Asian solution for brand owners and their IP assets, says company.

MDR Brand Management has acquired Click! Licensing Asia.

The acquisition continues MDR’s rapid growth trajectory, further strengthening its existing Asian presence and following its recent opening of three new offices in India.

MDR now operates in 25 locations around the world, with its global HQ in London.

“Alongside the newly opened offices in India, this acquisition successfully completes phase one of our expansion strategy and enables us to deliver the most expansive brand management platform across the whole of Asia,” said Daniel Avener, ceo of MDR Brand Management. “We are delighted to welcome the CLICK! team to the MDR family, bringing an incredible range and breadth of experience across different brands and diverse geographical and sector knowledge.”

Click! is led by ceo Marilu Magsaysay Corpus and is headquartered in the Philippines. It provides brand management services across eight markets including the Philippines, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand and Indonesia.

Marilu commented: “We are very happy and proud to be part of MDR Brand Management. Strategically, the synergy in creativity and expertise marks a significant leap for us that will further bolster our clients’ businesses globally.”

The MDR Brand Management business has seen “remarkable growth” in a very short space of time, noted Kevin Gold, executive chairperson of the Mishcon de Reya Group. “It continues to exceed our own expectations but more importantly those of our clients,” he said: “The acquisition of CLICK! marks another important investment for our wider business in Asia. It builds on the opening of our Mishcon de Reya Singapore office earlier this year and our belief that Asia is, and will be, the engine of the global economy.”
