May The Thoughts Be With You marks International Midwives Day

Brand partnership also secured with global baby brand, Lansinoh.

May The Thoughts Be With You is celebrating the amazing work carried out by midwives, with Charlotte Reed creating an original illustration and poem to applaud their ongoing work.

Released today for International Midwives Day (Tuesday May 5), the poem aims to celebrate all of those midwives who are continuing to play a vital part in the arrival of each new life in the UK throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

Charlotte explained: “My brother had a baby very recently and I wanted to celebrate the amazing job all midwives do and particularly the way they have continued to work in such a professional and friendly way during these very challenging times. This poem is for all midwives.”

Clare Piggott, director of Larkshead Media, added: “Charlotte’s thoughtful illustrations and messages provide a means to communicate with a global audience and her message to midwives is heartfelt.

“At this difficult time for so many families, it is important to acknowledge those that are helping to bring new life into the world. Speaking from experience, you never forget your midwife and that very special bond that forms in the delivery room (or indeed wherever you choose to have your baby). Your midwife is, for a short but intense time, the centre of your world.”

In addition, Charlotte will also be teaming up with global baby brand, Lansinoh to help support the work of midwives, with a number of her uplifting and positive messages to be shared with midwives across Europe, the US and China.
