New family entertainment park will open its doors in time for Easter.
Mattel Play Liverpool – the new indoor family entertainment attraction based in Albert Dock’s Hall – will open its doors in March.
The 13,000 square foot Mattel-branded centre will aim to bring to life characters such as Thomas the Tank Engine, Bob the Builder and Fireman Sam among others.
It is aiming to be open to the public in time for the Easter weekend, which this year runs from Friday March 25 to Monday March 28.
The attraction will be operated by Heritage Great Britain, and will allow children to engage in such activities as helping Thomas to restore order to Sodor Island and becoming a construction apprentice with Bob the Builder.
Graham Dentith, general manager of Mattel Play Liverpool, told local press: “This will be a fantastic children’s attraction with education and entertaining elements which is what will completely differentiate us from your regular soft play centre.
“Each of the main characters will have their own zone with an individual feel and design, as well as being filled with activities to allow children to get hands-on and experience what it’s like to play alongside the characters they know and love.”
