Masha and the Bear expands into the US

Animaccord secures new consumer product deals in territory for preschool brand.

Animaccord is expanding its popular preschool brand, Masha and the Bear, into new territories, securing a number of consumer products deals in the US and Canada.

The new deals cover publishing, costumes and party supplies categories.

Phidal has closed a deal for the production of Masha and the Bear books in English for Canada and the US. This includes learning series books, puzzle books, bubble magnet books and bath time books among others, with the launch planned for June.

Meanwhile, Penguin Random House has secured a deal with Animaccord for a licensed book line in Spanish. Also arriving in June, there will be story books, activity books, colouring books (with and without stickers), educational books and novelty titles.

Meanwhile, within the party sector, Palamon will develop a Masha costume for children aged 2-5, plus Bear costumes for adults.

In addition, Shindigz will offer Masha and the Bear party supplies from this month including branded plates, cake supplies, danglers, yard signs and personalised table overlays and sweets among other items.
