Marie Claire UK readies licensing programme

Brand Talent appointed as exclusive licensing agent for fashion title.

Popular fashion magazine Marie Claire UK is to get its own licensing programme, with Brand Talent on board as the exclusive agent.

The programme will run across multiple categories, with the first products launching in spring/summer 2017. There will be an initial focus on beauty, with further categories planned to follow later in the year.

Brand Talent is looking for partners in fashion accessories, bath and body, jewellery, luggage, stationery, eyewear, ath-leisure and table top.

Brand Talent director, Leila Martyn, said: “Marie Claire is a revered international brand with real meaning to its millions of readers.

“We already have some fantastic soon-to-be announced partners on-board and are excited to launch the licensing programme which will focus on beautiful must-have items that convey the importance of the Marie Claire brand.”

Justine Southall, md, fashion & beauty, Time Inc. UK, added: “With the power of the Marie Claire brand, we have the ability and authority to expand into many new areas.

“We have shown this with the launch of Fabled by Marie Claire, our premium beauty e-commerce business and flagship central London store in partnership with Ocado.

“We look forward to working with Brand Talent in exploring further exciting opportunities.”
