Company will be bringing meal times to life with special activity sheets in restaurants.
AliveLab has teamed up with Beefeater restaurants as part of its ongoing partnership with Aardman Animations.
Each child that dines at Beefeater throughout December can bring a special activity sheet to life by using the free Mardles app: Shaun the Sheep magically appears in front of them to pose for a cheeky selfie.
In addition, children also receive a free Shaun the Sheep interactive deck of cards with their meal and more augmented reality ‘magic’.
“We know how difficult it can be to entertain children while dining and we’re confident that this will be the first of many exciting restaurant partnerships,” said Sharon Wyness, ceo of AliveLab.
James Murden, head of creative, at AliveLab, added: “We can add Augmented Reality to virtually any product, service or promotion. We have 60 animated characters ranging from dinosaurs to unicorns and our own published app, we can move quickly and would love to talk to more potential partners.”
AliveLab is the company behind the successful Mardles range of products which includes stickers, colouring books, story books and fancy dress masks that all come to life with the free Mardles Augmented Reality app.
Sharon continued: “One of the reasons why we’ve sold over 700,000 products to date is our parent-friendly range, once you’ve downloaded our app you can use it anywhere without the need for 4G or WiFi. We have no registration process and there are never any in-app purchases.”
